![]() ![]() We hoped the volume of the music was temporary, but unfortunately it was every day, all day. Staff was very very friendly throughout the resort. This made checking in very difficult as you could not hear, nor quite understand the semi English speaking front desk staff. We first walked into the reception area of Sunscape to be greeted by blaring music coming from the pool, which is right next to reception. Otherwise it was just a great vacation, but I would highly recommend. my friend had a toilet paper holder that was broken and the sink drain that was not working correctly. The rooms were good, depending on your room, some of the fixtures were not all up to snuff. Eugenia, Sergio, Fanni, Vanessa, and Roxanna were also more than fantastic waiters at the Market Café. The staff was excellent down to the last person I met, a few notable people Were Randy who helped us with our luggage and lobby concierge, Crystal, who helped us at the dining area, whom we have known for three years and always a pleasant gal. We did most of our eating at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner because it was dropped in vases. If you have children, you have to eat at a couple of, restaurants and small café that you need to sit down at. We were a party of four adults, and it worked out great! Several dining options as well as a lot of things to do. All in all we enjoyed Seascape Sabor and would return. This was a great, affordable, safe vacation that was all inclusive for me. That was not important to us and we enjoyed the distance from all that. If you want to be walking distance from the shops however this is not your place. If you are a family there are lots of fun things planned too. You can always get something to eat here. ![]() There are several restaurants with varying menus and the food was generally enjoyable and well seasoned. We rarely found it problematic or spoiling our fun. ![]() The end of October is still rainy season and we had some rain most days but the cloudiness at times kept the temperatures down too. The overall service from meals to cleaning was excellent. There were a couple of minor problems but they were amended quickly. We were in a basic room (there are other options in other parts of the property) and found it fine for us. While we took a snorkeling excursion as well we could also see many fish in the waters outside our door. We very much enjoyed our stay especially having a room where we looked right out onto the beach. We made our second visit to Cozumel choosing to stay in a different location farther from town, down the coast to the south. All in all, this is a good place to stay for the price. All three restaurants have great desserts!!! Also of note, the beachfront tiki bar near the upper pool closes at 5 in the afternoon, although the open air dining tiki bar with the swings stays open late. The indoor restaurant near the pool or the pizza cafe are better choices for lunch than the open air restaurant, which only has burgers, fries, hotdogs, nachos, tacos. The food here is fine, if not overly imaginative. Although I was able to eat at any Sunscape restaurant when I was a hotel guest at Secrets, reciprocal privileges do not allow Sunscape guests to eat at the more upscale Secrets restaurants. The guest services staff that are based in the hotel lobby are quite persistent in trying to get you to book an offsite excursion or activity through them. The bed and linens were very comfortable. On checking in, we upgraded to a beachfront walk out room for an extra $40 per night, which was well worth the price to be able to walk from our door to our beach lounger in about 10 steps! Our room was adequately clean and stocked. For a girls getaway weekend in early October, we booked Sunscape because the price was right. Having stayed at the pricier Secrets Aura next door before, I had walked the property and used the spa services at Sunscape previously.
